We took part in the custom fit-out by producing bespoke furniture for the new offices of one of the largest consulting firms — KPMG. The project was extensive, and our responsibility was primarily the custom production needed to equip the key functional zones: the client and staff kitchenettes, the reception, meeting booths, and storage areas.
The moment you walk in, it’s clear whose offices you’re entering. The wooden wall cladding behind the reception desk features an illuminated KPMG logo. This light decor contrasts with the painted metal front of the reception counter, colour-matched to the work surface. The elegant palette gives the reception a clean, premium look — an appropriate first impression for the entire company. The combination of wood décor and veneer wall cladding continues throughout the offices. The light wood warms up the space while pairing well with the cooler tones used on the rest of the furniture. The fit-out also included a large amount of upholstered furniture — notably the L-shaped upholstered bench in the client kitchenette and the acoustic meeting booths in the open dining area.
Separating the kitchenette into a client zone and a staff zone is a smart solution — especially during lunch hours. At KPMG, we produced a total of three custom kitchen units. The minimalist cabinets without open shelving are practical and timeless. A key and visually dominant feature is the kitchen island in an atypical oval shape. Each island was made from a different material, making all of them unique.
Another distinctive element was the production of a bench with an integrated planter. The bench, made in a wood décor with an upholstered seat, includes a built-in planter in carbon grey. The combination works together seamlessly, offering a small “piece of nature” right inside the office.
