Futuristic Bar on the 5th Floor of the Máj Department Store

Entertainment, technology, and design at their brightest

On the fifth floor of the Máj department store, another project we took part in has come to life. We seamlessly followed up on the already completed interiors of the Champagne Bar and Fly Vista Restaurant and MAJ House of Fun, continuing in the spirit of entertainment and modern technology — this time in the form of a futuristic bar.

The new bar expands the LEVELS entertainment floors from the third and fourth levels, adding a space for evening programs, corporate events, teambuildings, and other occasions. Light and image take center stage — the lighting of the entire room and circular LED screens built into the walls allow the atmosphere to shift as needed. The interior stands out for its ability to easily adapt to different event types and the ever-changing demands of modern entertainment.

From our workshop in Rousínov came the massive shelving walls reaching 5.5 meters in height. The walls were prepared to accommodate the largest permanently installed 4K LED screen in the Czech Republic, as well as three circular LED panels with a diameter of 2.5 meters. We also produced the huge corner bar with a ceramic mosaic front and a Technistone solid-surface countertop, complete with a railing for hanging handbags.

The programmable lighting of both the bar and the entire space was supplied by Spectoda.
“For us, this was a great opportunity to integrate our smart lighting directly into custom furniture and demonstrate how such a complex solution can be controlled with maximum simplicity and efficiency. It’s a perfect combination of craftsmanship and modern technology,” says Anna Veselá, co-founder and CEO of Spectoda.
