Creating a workplace up in the clouds, with a client we got on with unusually well, was a lift for us too — a small reminder of why we keep doing what we do.

One of the moments that stayed with us was standing on the twentieth floor at four in the morning, looking out over the city and feeling, for a while, part of what was taking shape under our hands: a place where people will look forward to coming to work.

The concept reflects where office design is going — minimalism, straightforward practicality, environmental sense and comfort for the people who use it, which is what a company’s prosperity ultimately rests on. Interior studio ATAK Design had all of that in mind, and at Woodever we simply brought it to life.

For INTECS the offices were not only a move; they were a completely new start. A change of name and a new visual identity ran through every detail, including the furniture, the accessories and the bespoke wall graphics. The corporate blue and the monochrome elements are softened by a wood decor on the furniture, acoustic upholstered walls and green planting.

Into the shared areas we brought the versatile Tablies table, designed exclusively for us by Ing. Iva Bastlová. It is a good companion for eating and for working. In solid oak with a wide palette of colours, it can be made in a company’s own colours or set against them.

The most important thing about this project was the extraordinary focus on employees and their comfort. The dining zone, the chill-out zone, the phone booths and the kitchen took up a fair share of the job. Playfulness, and a design that takes your mind off work for a moment, matter far more than many people think. It would be good if that were the standard on projects like this, rather than the exception.
