Sustainability at the heart of the Rowan Legal offices

For the law firm Rowan Legal we took care of the fit-out of their new offices. For the bespoke furniture we worked with an unusual and sustainable material: board recycled from beverage cartons.

The fit-out also included a minimalist, neutral company kitchen. The light grey of the units contrasts with the floor and sits comfortably in the wider scheme.

Office desks, but not as you know them

The desks have a character of their own, thanks partly to the different colours of their metal frames but above all to the material of the tops. Every worktop is made from recycled beverage cartons — Tetra Pak. The material is easy on the environment, highly durable and good to work with. The tops are slim yet striking, full of colour, and the finish pulls them together into something quietly coherent.

Against a neutral interior, carton board tops on coloured frames take all the attention. Making desks and cladding from Tetra Pak was new to us, and given where sustainability is heading, we doubt it will be the last time.
