In 2024 the Máj Národní project was a major challenge in scale and in the specifics of its design. Woodever worked on the interior with a full team of engineers, project managers and, above all, joiners.
„ We were facing a project we had been looking forward to enormously, and at the same time we felt the responsibility and the respect that came with the trust our long-standing partner placed in us. I am pleased not only with the result of our work but with how the whole build went, with the team holding together, says Michal Navrátil, CEO of Woodever.
The Woodever team spent just under eight months preparing and building the interior. The engineers put over 2,000 hours into the project and the joiners worked 369 days between them.

The name Dřevodílo suggests a company working mostly in wood, but the opposite is true. For the Máj interior we covered production in a wide range of materials from all over the world.
„ We worked with stone veneer, Neolith, marble, brass and Hi-Macs solid surface. The gold cladding we had brought in from China , says Lukáš Osina, the Woodever project manager in charge of the job.
The Máj department store has several design bars where you can see the work of Woodever in person. Among them is the tallest Infinite Bar in the Czech Republic, genuinely unique in both size and execution.
It is open. There is celebrating. The day the joiners could put their tools down. But not for long. After a build as demanding and dynamic as the Máj department store, I know we are ready for anything. And I am looking forward to it , concludes Woodever CEO Michal Navrátil.
