Quality furniture isn’t only down to our skilled joiners. Furniture making brings together designers, sprayers, welders, metalworkers, upholsterers and other trades. Crafts that are slowly disappearing. We want to connect them and bring them back to where they once had their finest years.
For Rousínov and the surrounding area we’re building a new production and administration centre with shared spaces and facilities for crafts and furniture companies — and for secondary school and university students.
With shared know-how and cooperation we’ll support traditional trades and offer people in the region stable jobs with a future. All of it with respect for the nature that gives us our basic material — wood.

In one place we bring together masters of their crafts who make quality furniture with both tradition and a future. They give furniture its design, its function and its soul. We believe that having every trade work side by side leads to a truly honest and efficient result.
Moving companies under one roof means sharing more than the energy of working together. By sharing space, technology, air, solar electricity and heat from burning offcuts from furniture and fit-out production, we’ll cut the carbon footprint and running costs of every company by 30–50%.

The shared centre sits on a 5,000 m² plot and will have four floors with 7,186 m² of usable floor space. Nothing is wasted; every metre is used to the full.

While chasing yet another craftsman for a quote, the idea of a shared centre is born

We buy half a hectare of fields in the Rousínov industrial zone, next to the former ÚP Rousínov works

The study is finished and pre-project preparation of the centre begins

The Shared Furniture Industry Centre (SCNP) takes concrete shape

We apply for planning permission and work through the sustainability and funding challenges

The build phase begins — the one we know so well from our clients’ projects, and we’re looking forward to our own

A bold plan? Perhaps. But you don’t build long-term stability on shaky foundations — whether in the ground or in the culture of a craft.

We are Woodever. In Rousínov, in the south of Moravia, we’ve been making quality non-standard furniture for business and private clients since 1945. Our goal is to keep the tradition of honest furniture making alive in the Rousínov area.
