For Rakoprojekt we built bespoke offices using a whole range of materials. Non-standard production following the company’s visual identity was combined with our own standard office furniture, including solid wood desks. We worked with timber for the logo too, milling it into a solid board — an unusual solution that catches your eye the moment you walk in.
Desks and meeting tables with solid oak tops on metal frames stand out for their looks and, above all, their quality. Furniture in a natural material warms up an interior, and you appreciate it for how long it lasts. A worktop can be refreshed at any time, which makes furniture like this effectively permanent. Some desks have fixed frames; the rest are height-adjustable.
Our sit-stand desks are a good choice above all for their ergonomic edge and the fact they adjust to any height. They come into their own in shared offices where one workstation is used by several people.
Each workstation also has a multifunctional pedestal with an upholstered seat pad, which works as storage and as a mobile place to sit.
The natural materials are set off by the colours from Rakoprojekt’s visual identity. They appear mainly on the runs of storage cabinets and on the upholstered furniture. For the storage units and the company kitchen we combined board material in different colours and wood decors.
Pastel shades and a warm wood decor sit well against the solid oak. Because we manufacture both non-standard and standard furniture ourselves, we can match natural and man-made materials exactly.
The new offices feel open and fresh thanks to plenty of daylight and views into greenery. Bringing together nature and materials that come from nature is about the best office design anyone could ask for.
